Congratulations & Thanks to KeraStraight Superstar, Schola Rose

“Look good, feel great,” is Schola Rose’s motto. And over the past year, we’ve loved seeing Schola, a multi award-winning stylist from Hype Coiffure, put her motto into practice as part of the KeraStraight Art Team.

We’ve loved having Schola as part of our Art Team and weren’t surprised to hear that her fantastic character, skills and dedication to this wonderful industry have resulted in a fantastic new opportunity for her. We met up with Schola to thank her for her time and dedication, and to ask how KeraStraight helped her achieve the gorgeous styles she’s famous for.

A true passion for Afro hair and KeraStraight

Schola's styling career has been a cascade of awards. She is in the Black Beauty Hall of Fame, won Weave Stylist of the Year three times and is the current Southern Stylist of the Year. Her celebrity clientele includes Terri Walker and Sinitta!

True to her life motto, “look good, feel great”, the most enjoyable part of Schola profession is helping her clients feel wonderful. “I love making people feel good,” she declared. And we were happy to hear KeraStraight has been a large part of that process.

KeraStraight’s range of treatment and products have transformed the styling industry. And as a result, it’s now possible for stylists like Schola to help clients achieve their dream hair, regardless of their hair type.

Schola is a longstanding KeraStraight advocate for black and Afro hair types, stating that the condition and shine left on hair after KS Ultimate is "truly out of this world”. But she was also surprised by how easy it is to use the treatments. "Finally, a product that not only caters for the client, but also for the hairdresser!”

Predicting future hair trends is a big part of being a stylist and authoritative figure on Afro hair. “I predict natural hair and texture to be a big trend in 2016,” said Schola. “More and more black women are embracing their natural curls and KS Ultimate treatment can allow them to have a natural look minus the frizz! It's a win-win situation!”

All Change for Schola

Although we’re sad to see Schola leave the KeraStraight Art team, we were delighted to hear about her new exciting opportunity. Schola is joining Avlon as their new UK & European Educator and will be sharing her 20 years of industry experience with hair care pros in seminars, shows and salon demonstrations.

They are certainly lucky to have her!

KeraStraight’s founder, Jez Barnett, is missing Schola already. “We have loved having Schola on our Art Team,” he said. “Her experience with Afro-Caribbean hair, together with her incredible enthusiasm and standards, have been amazing. We all wish her the very best of success in her new role.”
