How to get Kim Kardashian's Wet Look Bob

Kim Kardashian is a style icon: classic and classy, yet elegantly edgy. So, when we saw her latest look at the LA fashion awards last night, we couldn’t be more excited. In collaboration with the very talented Trevor Sorbie team, we recently created a look which paralleled Kim K’s wet look bob at London Fashion Week, and want to share our expertise with you. With this in mind, here’s our quick fix guide to achieving Kim K’s wet look bob.

A stunning style

Channelling ‘wedding day glam’ Kim looked stunning at 2017’s  LA Fashion Awards. Her sheer Givenchy gown was inspired by her beloved wedding dress, donned at her nuptials to Kanye West in 2014. Being slightly more revealing than her original gown, it worked to accentuate her famous curves with subtle embellishments.

With such a statement dress, an understated classic look was key. As so, the wet look bob was perfect. Hanging just at the shoulder, tousled to perfection Kim’s style kept the attention on the dress whilst adding a rock-star edge to her feminine look. Paired with a neutral facial palette and subtle contouring, her overall style was one of pure modern day elegance.

Get Kim K’s look

So now to you: how can you achieve Kim K’s elegant wet look bob. Mirrored by our stand out look at LFW SS/17, Bella Chouhan from Trevor Sorbie’s art team gives us her top tips.

What you’ll need: Moisture Mist, Heat Protection Spray, KeraStraight Titanium Irons, and Glossing Texture Creme.

Wash and condition your hair thoroughly, making sure to pay special attention to your ends, where you should place most of the conditioner. After towel drying spray Moisture Mist evenly through your hair, “I love this product, it’s super versatile and the perfect for untangling any difficult knots”. Follow this with a spritz of Heat Protection Spray, which will help to give a healthy looking end result.

Now for the styling, Bella swears by the ‘wrap dry’ technique with a Denman brush, “Wrap your hair around the brush pulling outward away from the scalp, and tousle through with your fingers after after drying”. After your hair is completely dry, use the straighteners to create subtly crimped waves in the hair. Zig zag small sections and set with the irons, to give the natural body that Kim K achieves with her bob.

Rub a little of the Glossing texture creme through the ends, to separate out and give subtle hold. To finish, spray with one more layer of Moisture Mist for a touch of gorgeous gloss.
