In October 2014 we hosted an event to mark the launch of KeraStraight’s products on Lookfantastic.com. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Lookfantastic.com - it’s an absolute Mecca of hair and beauty products.
Founded way back in 1996 (at the dawn of the internet) Lookfantastic.com has become the leading online beauty boutique. You can now buy our full range of ‘at home’ products, including the must-have Ultimate Oil, KS Style and our professional Titanium Irons online.
We celebrated this exciting launch the only way we know how - with an exclusive event at Trevor Sorbie Covent Garden.
The Event
The evening began with a few speeches. Nathan Walker, International Director of Trevor Sorbie and KeraStraight Ambassador said a few words, followed by Jez Barnett, KeraStraight MD and Beckie Turnball from Lookfantastic.
Once the formalities were out of the way it was time for the stylists to do their thing. Our guests - around 40 bloggers and members of the press - were invited up to the KeraStraight Intense Boost Blow-Dry Bar. They had the opportunity to see how the treatment repairs, hydrates and renews all hair types in just 30 short minutes. By the end of the night, there were a lot of people with incredible hair and big smiles waltzing through Covent Garden.
While waiting for their treatments, guests mingled with KeraStraight Ambassador and hair icon Trevor Sorbie. Trevor, celebrating his 50th year in hairdressing, happily chatted and posed for pictures with everyone. “I got to have a one on one with Trevor Sorbie himself. Through our chat, we laughed, joked, and I got to see firsthand how truly brilliant he is,” said Angela Angeline.
Our team of hair experts also created personalised consultation cards and goody bags for each guest. The goody bags included three products suited to the individual’s hair type and a few other treats, of course.
Angela of Chocolate and Lipstick had a consultation with our very own MD, Jez;
We discussed my hair problems and the recent treatment I received. With that in mind, I was advised to use the K.S Rescue Cream, K.S. Root Lift Spray Gel, and the K.S Protein Hair Mask, which will enhance the treatment. I was also given the K.S Ultimate Oil after I waxed poetic about it.
Of course, no party is complete without food and drink. Our expert catering team served up mini cheeseburgers, chicken fajitas, red onion tarte tatin and king prawn skewers while the Prosecco and fine wine flowed.
Oh and the cupcakes! How could we forget the delicious chocolate and vanilla KeraStraight cupcakes?

When me and all my friends were 14, using Trevor Sorbie’s leave in treatment from Boots was literally the height of our fashion and beauty regime. So to be invited, 12 years later to the hair guru’s flagship salon in Covent Garden to find out more about KeraStraight was a great opportunity.
